BSM is proud to announce that Bennett Erickson ‘25, Mackenzie Gleason ‘27, and Tori Hopkins ‘25, members of the BSM alpine team, are heading to the 2025 Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Alpine Skiing State Meet. They will compete in the individual boys’ and girls’ races respectively on Tuesday, Feb. 11 held at Giants Ridge Ski Resort in Biwabik, MN.
Bennett Erickson ‘25 is recognized at the MSHSL alpine ski sections award ceremony on February 4, 2025.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, all three Red Knights competed in the MSHSL 6AA sections finals with other members of the BSM alpine ski team. Erickson skied to 9th place in the boys’ alpine race to reach the State Tournament for the third consecutive year. Gleason finished in 9th place and Hopkins in 13th place in the girls’ alpine race and will be making their first appearance at the State Tournament in the individual category. The sections event was held at Wild Mountain Ski and Snowboard.
Erickson was an All-Conference Skier in 2023 and the team placed second overall, recording BSM’s best state ski finish since 2004. In 2024, Erickson again participated in the State Tournament.

Update:
Both Bennett and Mackenzie competed at State in -9°F temperatures and harsh conditions, skiing well. Both were unable to take home medals this year.
