2023 Highlights
BSM boys’ football wrapped up their season with a trip to the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class AAAA Football State Tournament. This was the Red Knights’ fifth trip to State, having won the state championship in 2016.
The Red Knights capped the season with a 5-7 record good for third place in their district and the #3 seed in Section 5AAAA. The Red Knights defeated SMB 24-12 in the quarter finals an annihilated #2 seed Minneapolis South in the semifinals. Next up, archrival Academy of Holy Angels. BSM avenged an earlier loss to the Stars with a 20-15 victory sending the Red Knights to State!
On Thursday, November 9 BSM traveled to neutral site Monticello High School to take on North Branch Area High School. The Vikings came into the game with a 10-1 record. In a classic and entertaining ground and pound vs an aerial attack game North Branch controlled the clock and eventually the scoreboard as they ended the Red Knight’s season 38-27.
