Congratulations to our Red Knights who qualified for the MSHSL State girls’ swim & dive meet this year!
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls’ swim & dive team had tremendous success on Nov. 8 at the Section 2A finals, placing second overall and sending seven individual qualifiers to complete at State:
- Diving – Celia Schoen ’29 (2nd place)
- 100 Fly – Emma Rudowsky ’26 (Section Champion) & Harriet White ’25 (2nd place)
- 500 Free – Emma Rudowsky ’26 (Section Champion) & Harriet White ’25 (3rd place)
- 200 Free Relay – Harriet White ’25, Siri Gudmundson ’25, Lilly Schilling ’26, Emma Rudowsky ’26 (2nd place)
- 400 Free Relay – Carina Gatdke ’28, Siri Gudmundson ’25, Madeline Kirkvold ’28, Lilly Schilling ’26 (2nd place)
“It’s really a reward and celebration for them,” coach Nate Stone said. “We get to bring a fairly large squad of 10 students with alternates, which makes competing in a meet like State all the more fun and exciting. All the hard work has been done, and it’s an opportunity to really enjoy racing.”
The 2024 MSHSL Girls Swim & Dive State Tournament will be help Nov. 14-16 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota.
